Pozdrav svima i ugodan vikend.[thumbsup]
Plijeni i velik promet danas.

U pravu si, opet ne računam gap. Počet ću ih sam crtat, nema druge.

Evo nešto fundamentalnog predviđanja za ponedjeljak. Valjda će biti kako kažeš.
Dry bulk market set to hit new high
Michelle Wiese Bockmann – petak 16 svibanj 2008
Sizzling: dry bulk rates are set to peak further.
THE sizzling dry bulk market is poised to reach new records yet again on Monday, as port congestion sees queues of capesize vessels at Brazilian ports swell to almost 40.
Rising congestion in key Brazilian iron ore ports of Tubarao and Ponta da Madeira , as well as Australia and discharge ports in China has coincided with rocketing demand for export commodities.
Charterers were caught short this week as available bulk carriers failed to match the number of export cargoes of coal, iron ore and grain from South America, the US Gulf and Australia for the next month.
The pressure has pushed freight rates up so swiftly that one Imarex broker declared the dry bulk market in “riot mode”.
The Baltic Dry Index hit a record for the second consecutive day today, advancing 3.5% to 11,459 points.
That broke the record set a day earlier of 11,067 points. The previous high was 11,039, set on November 13 last year.
Further delays in Brazil will possibly push rates higher, said analyst John Kemp from Sempra Metals, a metals trader.
“I don’t see any reason why the market will back off, and in the next week expect it to rise quite strongly,” he said.
China is also expected to soak up scarce tonnage within weeks to transport extra coal along its coast, after an earthquake damaged hydroelectricity systems.
Mr Kemp said this would generate increased demand for coal-fired plants, with most coal transported on the rapidly expanding cabotage trade.
The extraordinary advance in freight rates now means that the cost to transport iron ore from Brazil is only marginally less than the commodity.
The record-high voyage cost of $104 per tonne recorded today is more than double the cost three months ago. The cost of Brazilian iron ore, which rose by 65%-71% only a month ago is between $119-$125 per tonne.
The spot rate for a fronthaul journey from Brazil to China now exceeds $276,000 per day.
Despite what broker ICAP Hyde called “crazy numbers”, China’s appetite for iron ore remains strong, with its iron ore inventory now at its highest-ever level of above 62m tonnes. The stockpile was normally around 40m tonnes.
“Steel prices are soaring and Chinese steel mills have a real incentive to produce as much steel for export as possible,” said Simpson Spence and Young director, Peter Norfolk today.
Yesterday the average time charter cost for a capesize vessel rose by another $8000 per day, to reach $211,640, while the average time charter for panamax vessels was at $88,398 per day.
China imported nearly 43m tonnes of iron ore in April, 5m tonnes more than it did for the same period last year, according to SSY figures.
The demand prompted a fixing frenzy for most of last week with miners like BHP Billiton fixing 17 vessels, including one capesize to transport coal from Colombia to western Europe at $220,000 per day.
Vale, which cancelled as many as 50 cargoes last January to help cool rising freight rates, causing the market to dramatically plummet, did not respond to requests for interviews.
* Evidence is brewing of rising congestion in Australian commodities export ports, exacerbating delays already being experienced in Brazil, according to London broker ICAP Hyde.
A current five to seven-day delay at Western Australia’s Port Hedland, could worsen in the next 10 days, as a further 27 ships expected to arrive.
These 27 ships come on top of the current 16 already at anchor outside the port, ICAP Hyde said.
Added to that is the high number of fixtures from BHP Billiton. Baltic Exchange lists show that last week the mining giant booked 14 ships, which will arrive at its Western Australian port within the next three weeks.

Port congestion u Brazilu. Australija već pokazuje simptome, a još nema dogovora s kinezima. Može li biti bolje.
E da je imati capesiza na spotu.
