Tocno, dosta je onih koji su ulazili zadnjih par dana i izlaze na 540-550. I ako bude korekcije za ovu dionicu se najmanje bojim jer ima fundamente. Iako ce i ona roknuti ako dodje do korekcije, to je sigurno.

Dobre procjene,ali vjerujem da je nakon dugo vremena ova dionica dosegla jednu ozbiljnost,tako da mislim da povratka dole više neće biti

Period interest drives panamax record

HAVING hailed last week as the one when a two-and-a-half year record for the panamax market was beaten, it is difficult for a commentator to make out a case for the present week being anything special, writes Nigel Lowry in Athens.

In fact it has set out like any other week in recent memory for panamaxes. The index is going up — still.

Sailing past the end of 2004’s historic high mark of 6,110 points, by yesterday the Baltic Panamax Index had reached 6,330.

“There is plenty of interest for all types of business whether time charters, voyages or period business,” noted the Carriers man.

“The fact is we are probably finding it easier to fix periods than single voyages at the moment, but that goes for all sizes.”

Brokers say that some charterers are concerned to lock in tonnage rather than be caught in the event of a shortage, but often enough cite as the main reason aninterest in profitable re-letting of tonnage, whether to moderate exposure or simply cash in.

Rates of $60,000 or more continue to be seen for the odd panamax fixture out to the Far East or to the Mid-dle East Gulf, while transatlantic round trips are commanding as much as $55,000 a day.

Short periods are pulling in about $50,000 or more daily, say brokers, while a one-year deal can net as much as $47,000 daily, as seen in Worldlink’s charter of the panamax Beauty Donor reported this week.

And, for older panamaxes, it has been like the invention of Viagra.

The 21-year-old Yao Hai , for example, has just been booked for a trip via Brazil for China at $54,750 daily. Yao Hai indeed!
