China hopes US will back equality-based trade deal
Chinese Foreign Ministry hopes that the United States will work together with Beijing on an equality and mutual respect-based trade deal between the world’s two largest economies, the ministry’s spokesperson Geng Shuang said on Monday.
Earlier today, sources close to China’s government revealed that the so-called phase one trade deal is “very close,” while Chinese officials remain committed to carrying on with the talks on further stages of the agreement with Washington.

Capeovi vuku jako i za njima će i panamaxi, pa ne mogu supramaxi imati veću cijenu a sad su gotovo pa poravnati s panamaxima tako da će sinergijski i ostale klase prema gore.
China’s top trade negotiator Liu He talks to Lighthizer, Mnuchin about ‘resolving core issues’
Liu He, China’s top negotiator on trade, spoke with U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer and Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin on Tuesday morning, China’s Ministry of Commerce said in an online statement.
“Both sides discussed resolving core issues of common concern, reached consensus on how to resolve related problems (and) agreed to stay in contact over remaining issues for a phase one agreement,” the Chinese-language statement said, according to a CNBC translation.
