China: There are no differences with US on trade
The United States and China have no differences on the partial trade deal reached last week, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Geng Shuang told the press on Tuesday.
Geng added that US comments on the trade deal were “correct.” The comments come after China said that further clarifications on a trade deal with the US will be needed.
Earlier, the US announced that it reached a “phase one” trade deal with China and stated that Washington expects to sign the first phase of the deal soon.

China plays up purchases of US farm goods in positive spin on trade talks
Beijing says it is on the ‘same page’ as Washington in seeing progress in their 15-month-old dispute
Foreign ministry says the country will speed up orders for American agricultural products
Also on Monday, Mnuchin said high-level talks between China and the US would continue next week with the aim of completing the phase one deal before the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) summit in Chile in November.
“The next phase is deputy-level calls that will be going on this week,” Mnuchin said in an interview with CNBC. “Ambassador Lighthizer and myself will have a principal-level call next week with the vice-premier.
“My expectation is [that] we’ll have the deputies meet between now and Chile, and my expectations are that we will be meeting with the vice-premier in Chile before the presidents meet to finish the deal.”

Trump: China deal signing ‘some time prior to Chile’
Speaking at the White House on Wednesday, the President of the United States Donald Trump said that US has done “a rather incredible deal with China.” He mentioned both countries made a deal for $40 to $50 billion dollars in farm products which he claimed China has already started purchasing.
The deal will be signed “some time prior to Chile,” where the APEC summit is scheduled for November, with Chinese President Xi Jinping set to attend, the president added.
Trump also noted “China’s been good” in the trade talks.
China: US trade talks heading in positive direction
China’s Commerce Ministry said on Thursday that it believes the country’s trade negotiations with the United States are heading a “positive direction.”
The ministry described recent trade talks between Washington and Beijing as “constructive” and noted that “real progress” has been made towards ending their ongoing trade dispute. Beijing added its final goal in the negotiations is to end the “trade war” and “remove all tariffs.”
The world’s two largest economies made significant progress towards a partial trade deal during last week’s talks in Washington. On Wednesday, US President Donald Trump noted the final so-called “phase one” agreement is currently being “written” and will most likely be signed “some time” before he meets his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit in November.
