US and China agree 90-day trade tariff ceasefire after China agrees to buy ‘very substantial’ amount of American goods
As part of the ceasefire deal, China agreed to purchase a “very substantial amount of agricultural, energy, industrial, and other product from the United States to reduce the trade imbalance between our two countries. China has agreed to start purchasing agricultural product from our farmers immediately”.
Američka skladišta su prepuna soje zbog kineske apstinencije. U ovoj trgovinskoj godini izvoz im je skoro prepolovljen u odnosu na isto razdoblje prošle godine. Radi se o razlici od oko 9 milijuna tona za razdoblje od 1. rujna do 22. studenoga. Preostaje za vidjeti koliko će vremena trebati da se ovo osjetiti na vozarinama panamaxa i supramaxa te dokud će one dogurati.

US, China took ‘big leap forward’ with G20 deal – Trump
United States President Donald Trump expressed his satisfaction and optimism about the agreement he reached with China’s President Xi Jinping on holding any trade measures in the next 90 days in order to step up talks on a comprehensive trade deal.
“My meeting in Argentina with President Xi of China was an extraordinary one. Relations with China have taken a BIG leap forward! Very good things will happen. We are dealing from great strength, but China likewise has much to gain if and when a deal is completed. Level the field!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Moments after, US president emphasized the importance of the possible deal for America’s farmers, whose products “China wants.” He tweeted: “Farmers will be a very BIG and FAST beneficiary of our deal with China. They intend to start purchasing agricultural product immediately. We make the finest and cleanest product in the World, and that is what China wants. Farmers, I LOVE YOU!

China, US to proceed with trade talks according to specific schedules
The economic teams of China and the US will actively proceed with trade negotiations according to specific schedules and roadmaps, a spokesperson for China’s Ministry of Commerce said Wednesday.
China has confidence in executing the negotiations, the spokesperson said. He also mentioned that China will start with issues on which it has always reached consensus with the US as soon as possible.
