Drybulk Shipper Shares Rise As Analyst Hikes Estimates on Expected Strength, Key Index Soars
NEW YORK (AP) — Shares of drybulk shippers rose Monday after a Morgan Stanley analyst raised earnings estimates on expected sector strength over the next two years, and a key shipping index hit yet another all-time high.
[color=blue]Analyst Ole Slorer said demand for iron ore, coal for steel production and agricultural products should drive spot charter rates even higher than originally forecast over the next three to five months.[/color]
And although the number of new vessels expected to launch in 2010 and 2011 might slow the vessel rates’ steep upward climb, Slorer said he sees few obstacles for the market over the next two years.
The Baltic Dry Index, which covers drybulk shipping rates and is managed by the Baltic Exchange in London, jumped 61 points Monday to close at an all-time high of 10,756.

Ono što mene najviše veseli, osim indexa koji raste i raste, je to što svi veći analitičari predviđaju da će taj rast biti stalan u godinama koje dolaze. Potražnja za rasutim teretom je velika zbog zahtjevnog kineskog i indijskog tržišta i neće jenjavati, a Atlantska je svojim izborom te timingom obnove flote pokazala da ide ukorak sa trendovima, te dokazala da njeni dioničari mogu mirno spavati. Procjenjuje se da u sljedećim godinama ne treba očekivati nikakve turbulentnosti tržišta, bar što se tiče dry bulk segmenta koji je Atlantskoj osnovni segment, te se za inače “nervozan” brodarski sektor predviđa mirno more.
Ovo je kolega ententinis napisao 12.07.2007, i ja sam se tada odlučio na ozbiljni ulazak. Do sada nisam prodavao.

Mislim da je bila nekakva gužva na Pacifiku pa su ostali stajati u koloni.
